How to Make Raw Sprouted Almond Butter

Today I'm going to show you how I make my raw sprouted almond butter and let me tell you this stuff is delicious dipping my celery sticks in this is one of my favorite on-the-go snacks before we get to the recipe I wanted to point out that my recent blog post is all about the benefits of sprouting your almonds so if you're interested in learning more about the details then head on over to my blog the link will be in the description box below okay let's get started the first thing you're going to need is raw organic almonds yes it is essential for them to be raw and organic if you want to get the best results next you'll need to rinse your almonds and then add them to a bowl and cover them with filtered water the water does need to be about an inch above the almonds because they will begin to swell after a few hours and be sure to add some high-quality salt to the water this is going to help to activate the enzymes and as a result it'll make the almonds more digestible let the almonds soak for about 12 to 24 hours I usually let mine soak for about 12 and if you see that the water is getting kind of dirty after a few hours feel free to rinse the almonds and add new water to the bowl after the almonds have soaked for at least 12 hours go ahead and give them one last rinse and then add them to your dehydrator if you don't have a dehydrator you can put them in the oven on the lowest setting just be sure to keep the door cracked but even this won't insure that the almonds stay in their roll state I highly suggest investing in a dehydrator if you do plan on eating more raw foods if you need suggestions on different price ranges for dehydrators I have listed a few of my recommendations in the description box below and at this point you're just going to let the almonds dehydrate for 24 hours here are my almonds after 24 hours in the dehydrator technically you could go ahead and eat them as a snack at this point and sometimes I do but we're going to go ahead and move forward with making our delicious raw sprouted almond butter add all of your almonds to a food processor and begin the blending process on high you will notice the almonds turning into a powder like consistency at first and when it's at this consistency you may need to stop and scrape it off the sides to help it move along at this point you're just going to continue to let it blend the entire process will actually take about 10 to 12 minutes after about three to four minutes you should notice the texture getting a little bit thicker and after about five to six minutes you'll even begin to see the butter forming at the bottom after about seven to eight minutes it'll begin to form a ball continue to let it blend because it will actually form a ball like this several times before it gets to the creamy texture and finally after about ten to eleven minutes when it reaches a creamy texture it's time to add the good stuff gently push down the almond butter from the sides of the container add a high quality salt to taste add two tablespoons of any type of oil I used my favorite which is brain octane oil and I even added a few drops of vanilla for extra flavor continue to blend for a couple more minutes until the texture is extra smooth here's the final result it may seem like a lengthy process but really it's just a matter of soaking dehydrating and blending your almonds and the health benefits that it supplies as opposed to roasted almond butter makes it completely worth it for storage instructions and ideas on how to incorporate more of this health food into your diet be sure to check out my latest blog post and I've also listed all of the products and ingredients that I used in this video in the description box below if you like this video please give it a thumbs up and don't forget to check out the other videos on my channel and of course be sure to subscribe for future videos you
